The Battery Park City Authority operates extensive family programming throughout the year including free outdoor art classes by the Parkhouse in Rockefeller Park designed for preschoolers ages 2-4 on Thursday mornings (weather permitting). Programming also includes nature walks, environmental education, harborfront events, seasonal celebrations, and free community festivals. The publicly-funded structure means most programming is free and accessible to all Battery Park City families.
