Bronx River Alliance runs free environmental education programs along the 23-mile Bronx River Greenway. Programs include the popular Spring Watershed Walks, kayaking expeditions, citizen-science water-quality testing, and the annual Amazing Bronx River Flotilla event each spring. Suitable for kids age 6 through teen. Strong fit for Bronx families wanting outdoor environmental advocacy and ecological education programming connected to a real urban-river restoration effort. Multiple Bronx access points along the greenway including Concrete Plant Park, Hunts Point Riverside Park, and Starlight Park. The Alliance's Bronx River Education Program partners with Bronx schools for year-round programming.
