Brooklyn Botanic Garden's 52 acres include the Discovery Garden — a hands-on space designed specifically for kids to explore habitats and garden wildlife — and the Children's Garden, the oldest continuously operating children's garden in the world (since 1914). Programs include weekly Discovery sessions, family workshops, summer camps, and seasonal events like the Cherry Blossom Festival and Chile Pepper Fiesta. Beyond programmed events, the garden's paths and exhibits make a strong open-ended outdoor day for families. Located in Crown Heights next to the Brooklyn Museum, accessible from the 2/3 train at Eastern Parkway.
