Brooklyn Nature Days has run forest school classes for kids in Prospect Park since 2014. The program centers on unstructured free play and open-ended exploration — kids climb, dig, build, and connect with nature using the seasons, plants, and animals as inspiration. No structured curriculum; instead, kids lead the direction of the day with facilitators supporting their interests. Suitable for ages roughly 2-8. Sessions run year-round in all weather (with appropriate gear), so families committed to outdoor time regardless of conditions are the natural fit. Classes meet at multiple Prospect Park locations.
