Greenwich House Pottery
About
Greenwich Village pottery studio founded in 1909 and housed in a landmarked Colonial Revival building designed by Delano and Aldrich on Jones Street between Bleecker and West 4th. Afterschool pottery classes for children and teens ages six and up run weekly with all materials, glazing, and firing included. Family pottery workshops called Clay for Families pair caregivers with children ages six and up for hands-on wheel and handbuilding sessions. The studio also runs school break camps and birthday parties, drawing on more than a century of clay teaching in the heart of the Village to introduce young students to ceramics in a working artist studio environment.
