Kew Kids Forest School

Kew Kids is NYC's only fully forest-based preschool, using Forest Park's 538 acres as its outdoor classroom year-round. Programs include full-day and half-day drop-off preschool (ages 2-5), after-school nature programs for elementary kids, and full-week summer day camps. Curriculum follows the forest school model — child-led discovery, hands-on natural materials, and risk-taking play (climbing, building, fire-making for older kids). All-weather participation required, so families need to commit to outdoor days regardless of conditions. Office at 82-96 116th Street in Kew Gardens; programming runs in Forest Park.
