New York Hall of Science (NYSCI) runs the Science Career Ladder program training Queens teens as Explainers — paid science educators leading museum visitors through exhibits and demonstrations. Programs combine STEM education with paid teen employment. Suitable for kids age 14 through teen. Strong fit for serious teen STEM students who want hands-on science teaching experience plus a paycheck. Free training; paid hourly when selected as Explainer. Located at NYSCI in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park.
