Pelham Bay Park
About
Pelham Bay Park is NYC's largest park at 2,772 acres — three times the size of Central Park. The park includes Orchard Beach, miles of shoreline along Long Island Sound, hiking and bridle trails through forest and salt marsh, the Bronx Equestrian Center, two golf courses, and the historic Bartow-Pell Mansion. Free family programming runs through Urban Park Rangers including birding, orienteering (kids navigate with maps and compasses), and salt marsh walks. Located in the northeast Bronx, accessible from the 6 train at Pelham Bay Park station. Park access is free; some attractions inside have separate fees.
