Staten Island Conservatory of Music

The Staten Island Conservatory of Music has been operating since 1994 in a building at the Snug Harbor Cultural Center on the north shore. The conservatory teaches all standard orchestral instruments plus piano, voice, and guitar to kids of any age. Faculty includes professional musicians and conservatory-trained teachers. The school administers ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) and NYSSMA (New York State School Music Association) examinations, which is useful for kids on serious music tracks heading toward auditions or competition. Recitals are held throughout the year. Located at Snug Harbor, accessible from St. George ferry terminal.
