Staten Island Museum Earth Science

Ages 8+📍 New Brighton, Staten Island

About

Staten Island Museum's Earth Science youth programs run alongside the museum's natural history collections including the cicada and insect collections, mineral specimens, and historic geology archive. Programs include earth science workshops, fossil identification sessions, weekend naturalist training, and citizen-science field projects for kids age 8 through teen. Strong fit for kids interested in geology, paleontology, and earth sciences who want hands-on instruction with real museum collections rather than textbook-based science. Located at the museum's Snug Harbor campus, accessible by SI Ferry plus the S40 bus. Sliding-scale fees through the museum's access mission.
