Stuyvesant Cove Park / Solar One
About
Stuyvesant Cove Park is a 1.9-acre native plant park on Manhattan's east side from 18th to 23rd Street, run by the Stuyvesant Cove Park Association as an outdoor classroom for local schools. The park hosts Solar One, NYC's Green Energy Education Center, which runs free environmental education programs and family events including Children's Creatures Day, summer concerts, and folk dancing. Programs focus on teaching kids about Manhattan's native flora, sustainability, and renewable energy through hands-on exploration. All programming is free.
