Wave Hill is a 28-acre public garden and cultural center on the Hudson River in Riverdale, with sweeping views across to the New Jersey Palisades. Family programming runs every weekend — nature walks, garden walks, family art projects, hands-on horticulture sessions, and seasonal events. Particularly strong fit for younger kids (free admission for kids under 6). Older kids enjoy the trails, bird-watching, and the Pergola overlook. Located on West 252nd Street in Riverdale, accessible from the Metro-North Riverdale station plus a short walk. Tuesday through Sunday, 9am-5:30pm.
